Blue Mountain Plastics (BMP) Extrusion is an advanced film extrusion and printing facility dedicated to finding more sustainable packaging solutions. We found a way to include 30% recycled content into the plastic film we use to wrap our cases of water bottles and we’re currently working towards increasing that percentage.
Because we own and operate our own facility, we are able to test and develop new processes and technologies to help us achieve our goal of a closed-loop in the LDPE (low density polyethylene) film industry. Not an easy feat!
Sustainability you can count on
Our ability to consistently maintain 30% Post-Industrial Recycled (PIR) content – and hopefully more soon – is just part of our efforts to provide our clients with a more sustainable product. We manufacture a thin gauge, high-strength engineered film that reduces the plastic required to package heavy products. Plus, the state-of-the-art technology in our facility allows us to create high-end products with industry-leading efficiency. Our film is also manufactured and shipped domestically, further reducing the carbon footprint.
