RECYCLING IS AT THE HEART
OF EVERYTHING WE DO

At Ice River Sustainable Solutions, everything we do begins and ends with recycling. What started as a small family business has grown into a family of companies working together toward one shared goal, keeping plastic materials in use and out of landfill.

By collecting, recycling, and reusing plastics within our own operations, we’ve built a true circular economy, turning everyday blue box materials into new products and packaging.

It all starts at BMP Recycling, where post-consumer plastic is transformed into food-grade resin. That resin is then used across our operations by BMP Packaging to produce high-quality recycled-content containers, and by our bottling facilities to manufacture bottles and packaging made from recycled PET plastic. Even the plastic wrap around each case of water is made by BMP Extrusion, which includes 30% recycled content.

From there, our transportation company, Osprey Logistics distributes our products efficiently across Canada. By using tri-axle trailers that carry more per load and maximizing backhaul opportunities, we’ve significantly reduced trips and carbon emissions.

Meanwhile, HDPE cap material recovered during the recycling process is sent to C.R. Plastic Products where it’s turned into premium outdoor furniture.

Beyond plastic, Ice River supports sustainability through Osprey Organics, an organic farm that grows and processes premium products to ensure consumers have healthy options when it comes to deciding what to put on their table, and Greenlid, which produces compostable tableware solutions made from natural materials.

Together, these connected operations close the loop, proving that when recycling drives the process, sustainability follows naturally.

For over 30 years, Ice River has been producing private label bottled water for large retailers in Canada – you’ve probably had our water without even realizing it. From major grocery stores to merchandise and food chains, many iconic Canadian brands are proud to put their logo on a 100% recycled plastic bottle that can be recycled again and again.
