Our Closed-Loop Process
Innovation, Inspired by Nature
Nature is the ultimate circular economy—everything has a purpose, and nothing goes to waste. This principle has guided us since the early days of our business.
In our search for sustainable packaging, we discovered that recycled PET plastic has the lowest carbon footprint compared to materials like, glass, or aluminum*. Recycled PET is also food safe and highly recyclable.
* Napcor PET Life Cycle Assessment Report 2023
We purchase Blue Box material from curbside collection such as beverage containers, clamshells and other food packaging. We recycle over 55 million pounds of plastic each year, transforming what some would consider waste into valuable resources.
EVERY LITTLE THING ADDS UP
Our success is measured by the environmental impact of our recycling efforts.
These key metrics showcase where our recycling efforts make the biggest difference.
Pounds of HDPE (primarily bottle caps) recycled to create premium weather resistant outdoor furniture each year.
Pounds of Green PET are recycled each year to produce our Ice River Green branded bottles, keeping materials in the circular economy and helping prevent landfill waste and plastic pollution.
Pounds of thermoform / difficult-to-recycle plastics (ex. clamshells & mushroom tills etc.) that we keep in the circular economy by utilizing them in our bottles and packaging products.
Pounds of PET plastic recycled annually at our BMP facility to keep in the circular economy.
Pounds of PET plastic that we have recycled since 2010 and kept in the circular economy.
